The American Center for Life Cycle Assessment, ACLCA, hosted the 9th International Conference on Life Cycle Assessment in the Agri-Food Sector in San Francisco, California in October 2014. This dynamic event - globally known as LCA Food 2014 - united the scientific community with food industry professionals, researchers, academics and policy makers. This was the first time the conference was held ouside of Europe and it was an opportunity to enhance US agriculture through sustainability. The Vision of the LCA Food 2014 conference was to combine the scientific academic focus of the conference with a food expo to demonstrate that sustainability is measurable and therfore doable, thus providing concumers choices, which CAN drive the sustainability of our food systems.
